GMLTJoseph, the publishing imprint that was kind enough to take on and produce the Extraordinary Days series, requires a few things of all its authors, but the most significant one is the donation of a portion of the sales of each book to the charity of the author’s choice.
What I love most about this is the opportunity for each product of my labor to make a positive impact beyond that of whatever pleasure might be gained in the reading of it.
The first book in the series, No Ordinary Day, is the story of a terrible natural disaster that befalls Obergrande, a small town on the Hudson River in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York. No Ordinary Day is a benefit for the American Red Cross, the organization that has helped with disaster relief since 1881.
The terrible number of casualties from the recent earthquake in Nepal is still being totaled. At times when natural disaster strikes, it is traditional for people of good will to do what they can to assist those in distress. Therefore, I’d like to make an offer to anyone who would like to help the suffering people of Nepal with me.
My husband and I have already made a financial contribution to the Red Cross for this purpose. In addition, from May 1st to May 15th, an additional cash donation will be made for every free copy of No Ordinary Day downloaded in e-book format from Amazon.com, BN.com, Kobo.com, or iTunes, doubling the current donation. The links to those free e-books are below, as well as the URL if you would like to donate directly to the Red Cross for this purpose. You can select Nepal Earthquake Relief from the drop down menu and your donation will go directly to this cause.
Help save some lives—it’s easy and free.
